Annual LGBTQ Pride Community Picnic
Saturday, June 25, 2022, 11am to 3pm

Our Annual Community Pride Picnic returns on Saturday, June 25th for a celebration with food and fun for the entire family. Starting at 11am join MCC Illiana for a cookout with hotdogs, hamburgers and vegan options around the grill and activities in the yard. In the event of incliment weather we will gather inside for some table games and fellowship. Invite your family and friends for this afternoon of Pride with your community.

Two Virutal Gatherings each Week

This June take advantage of 2 virtual Bible Study groups each week. On Monday afternoon's at noon or on Thursday evenings there are two different gatherings on Zoom.

New Monday Afternoon Bible Study, Noon (Central) 

Rev. Rebekah Lawson will be leading a virtual Bible Study series on the book of Hebrews starting on Monday, June 6th at noon. This weekly Bible study will focus on faith. Faith is one of those amazing things that so many people want and may not understand. Join us for a deep dive into faith as we read Hebrews. The Bible study will be held on Zoom at noon (central time), so bring your lunch as we explore faith together. 

Thursday Night Zoom Virtual Bible Study, 7pm 

Our Small Group Bible Study gathers on Thursday nights for a time of fellowship and scriptures. Rev. Michael leads the hour together from the comfort of your computer with this online ZOOM connection

Michigan City Pride Festival - Saturday June 18, 1-9pm

Hang out at the Michigan City Pride Festival with MCC Illiana on Saturday June 18 from 1pm to7pm. The Festival will be at Guy Forman Amphitheater 115 Lakeshore Dr, Michigan CityThis family friendly event will feature food trucks, musical performances, vendors and a drag show - hosted by Welcome to the Other Side. This is a fun, fabulous, free event and we can't wait for you to help celebrate Pride Month with us! Volunteers will be needed to help staff our table throughout the afternoon. Please note that parking at Washington Park Beach is $15, so consider carpooling with your friends and family.

New Transgender Support Group Forming 

A new  transgender support group is starting up at MCC Illiana and will have their first gathering on Friday, june 17th at 6pm at the church. The meeting is open to all transgender people regardless of their church affiliation, so invite all the trans folks you know to join us for some snacks, fellowship and to share your thoughts about the focus of this new support group.
