Out Loud

Out! Loud! Open Mic - Friday, October 21, 6:30pm


Our next Out! Loud! Open Mic Night will be a Halloween Themed Scary-okee on Friday, October 21st starting with a dinner at 6:30pm. Then you are invited to share your own spoke word, poetry, music or karaoke open mic, where you make our entrainment. Come and share your poetry, music or stories in a LGBTQQA-safe and affirming environment. Since some pieces may have adult themed content, this is an 18+ adult age event.

PotluckMonthly Potluck
Sunday, October 23rd, noon 

Our monthly potluck lunch will be this Sunday, October 23rd following our worship service. You are invited to bring a dish to share for our time of hospitality. 

Thursday Night Zoom Virtual Bible Study, 7pm 

Our Small Group Bible Study gathers on Thursday nights for a time of fellowship and scriptures. Rev. Michael leads the hour together from the comfort of your computer with this online ZOOM connection.

Transgender Support Group Gatherings

A transgender support group has formed at MCC Illiana and is now meeting twice a month.  The transgender support group gathers on the 2nd Wednesday and 4th Sunday at 6pm each day. The next meeting will be Sunday, October 23rd at the church. The meeting is open to all transgender people regardless of their church affiliation, so invite all the trans folks you know to join us for some snacks, fellowship and to share your thoughts about the focus of this support group. See Lexie if you have any questions. Sandwiches and snacks will be provided!

 

MCC Illiana Annual Congregational Meeting
Sunday, November 20th, 1pm

The 2022 Annual Meeting of the Congregation of Metropolitan Community Church Illiana will be held on Sunday, November 20th at 1pm following our annual Thanksgiving Potluck. At the meeting, the members of MCC Illiana will be voting on the 2023 Budget.  There will also be elections held for two (2) Board Member positions (2 year terms) and for our Lay Delegate (3 year term) and for our Alternate Lay Delegate (3 year term). Nominations forms are available at the church and will need to be turned in by Sunday, November 13th. This is an exciting time for our church community and we hope that you can join us for this yearly business gathering.
