TDOR 2022

Annual NWI Transgender Day of Remembrace Vigil

Our Annual Transgender Day of Remembrance vigil on Monday, November 28th starting at 7:00pm. TDOR began as a way to memorialize the death of Rita Hester who was murdered in Boston and has grown into a world-wide stand against the violence that our Trans brothers and sisters face on a daily basis. This memorial vigil is for our transgender sisters and brothers who were murdered since last year’s vigil. In our call to justice we create a place for healing the scars of violence still in our societies. This event is open to all in our community

MCC Illiana Angel Tree for the Aliveness Project

Angel Tree 2017MCC Illiana is carrying on our tradition of making Christmas special for the children of the Aliveness Project NWI. The Aliveness Project provides social services to families affected by HIV/AIDS in Northwest Indiana. We will be sponsoring the Christmas gifts for 30 children this year. You can take a name off the Angel Tree at church starting this Sunday and add one or more of these children to your Christmas shopping list this year. Please have the gifts to the church by Sunday, December 18th so our Santa helpers at MCC Illiana can rush them over in time for Christmas.
