Spring Forward for Day Light Savings Time

Spring Forward
Reminder to set your clock ahead for the beginning of daylight savings time on March 12th. Your church family at MCC Illiana doesn't want you an hour late for church on Sunday so turn those clocks forward before you go to bed on Saturday March 11th. Losing an hour of sleep is one of the many struggles we face during our Lenten Journey each year, so make it to church on time so you can be refreshed for this wonderful journey together. Though we promise not to stare if you come in late, we are glad to see you on Sunday, even if for communion and lunch.

Family Gayme Night on St. Patrick's Day

Game NightJoin us for an evening of games and food at our Gayme Night coming up on St. Patrick's Day, Friday, March 17th starting at 630pm. This is a family-friendly event with board games, card games and a lot of fun. There will be a simple meal provided, $5 suggested donation for the food.

Holy Week 2023

Holy Week Services with MCC Illiana

Experience the greatest week in human history with your church community at MCC Illiana. Our Holy Week experience of worship begins on Palm Sunday, April 2nd as we process into our sanctuary with palms. Alexandra will be our preacher for this parade that recalls Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem. On Wednesday, April 5th at 7pm we will gather in our fellowship hall for a unique experience of the Passover Seder, the festival meal that Jesus and the disciples shared in the Upper Room. This event will be livestreamed on Facebook so for those at home who would like to share with us you would need to have the following items: unleavened crackers, boiled egg, horseradish, apples and nuts, lettuce and parsley. We return to our sanctuary on Good Friday, April 7th at 7pm for a contemplative service of songs and prayers around the cross. From that moment of the world's deepest darkest, emerge with MCC Illiana on Easter Sunday, April 9th to experience the light of the first day of the Resurrection as we gather for worship at 10:30. All of these services will be live streamed on our Facebook page.
